How To: Wear Monochrome
2/22/2015
Welcome loves! Monochrome outfits always seemed unachievable, chic, and reserved for real fashionistas, whatever that means, that is until the day I just did it. Here's how.
The key to a flawless monochrome outfit is choosing related colors. First, choose your color of choice, for this look I went with a nude or tan color. Next, pair items of clothing not necessarily identical, but in that same shade, texture, etc. For this look I've mixed cotton, with a forgiving spandex stretch skirt, and a structured khaki blazer. Most of the colors blend well together creating that unified look.
I went with a form fitting pencil skirt, a fitted tank, and structured boyfriend khaki blazer. To complement the warm tones I chose a string of pearls, pearl studs, and a classic gold watch. To break up the color just a bit I went with black capped toe heels. A nude pair of pumps would have been a perfect finish to the look as well.
