Outfit Of The Day: Electric Yellow

Welcome! Neon isn't just for raves and 5K color runs.

I've been trying to stay true to one of the core values of this blog: exploration. I'm usually a sucker for neutral combinations, like my black, white, and greys mixed with a pop of color here and there. However, as of late I've been getting more into exploring new colors against my skin and finding fun new material textures.

Pictured above is my take on exploring this vibrant and electric neon yellow. I purchased this tank from Forever 21 not too long ago for a whopping $1.80. They have insane deals on tanks and fitted crop tops like this which I'll feature in an upcoming post, so stay tuned. My main reason for purchasing this item, was to match it with the necklace pictured.

TIP: When purchasing new items, think of what you already have to match with it. Saves you money, and already you have an outfit in mind.

I wore this outfit to church and chose to center the look around the tank. I paired the tank with a complementary navy blue flowy midi skirt and pops of color with the shoes and statement necklace to simply highlight of this look.

Neon is fun for summer and can make light summer whites, for example, stand out even more. Explore with new colors and textures, and comment below on what you find as neon do's and dont's. Also photo shoot selfies for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
